Doctoral Thesis, 2003- Completed first draft of the doctoral thesis entitled “Child Labour in India and Bangladesh: A Comparative Study of Non-Governmental Organisations”, under the supervision of Prof. M. P. Lama from South Asian Studies (SAS) in School of International Studies (SIS) of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. I also visited Bangladesh to do field survey and collected primary data for the doctoral thesis, where I made extensive visit and interacted with stakeholders of the different level of NGOs in Bangladesh, especially Underprivileged Children’s Educational Programmes (UCEP) and Aparajeyo in Bangladesh and collected primary data for the thesis. The work relates case study of national and local level NGOs from both countries on different issues of their functioning and achieving targets. M.Phil. Dissertation, 2001-2003 Wrote M.Phil. Dissertation entitled “Child Labour in India and Bangladesh: Policies and Programmes”, under the supervision of Prof. Nancy Jetly from South Asian Studies (SAS) in School of International Studies (SIS) of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. The work is comparative study of both countries about their policies and programmes about child labour based on inductive method. Teaching Experience, 2007-2008 Teaching Indian and World History in University of Delhi, Delhi since Aug 2007. Papers are History of Europe, Human Rights, Gender and Environment, History of Japan and Cultures in Indian Subcontinent. An Article in ‘Human Touch’, Mar 2005 An article was published in ‘Human Touch’ magazine titled “Child Labour in South Asia: A Case Study of Bangladesh” in March, 2005 issue. A Stint with CEC (Sept 2005-Apr 2006) Worked as Researcher Analyst in the ‘Child Labour and Bonded Labour’ Section in Centre for Education and Communication (CEC), a labour resource centre, New Delhi, where I have been involved with collecting and analyzing the primary data for ‘Zaffrabad Research Project’ relating to the Child Labour and attended various meetings on child labour. Colloquium on SAARC Day of the Girl Child, 8 Dec, 2005 Represented CEC for colloquium on prospects for national action on ‘SAARC Day of the Girl Child’. The topic of the colloquium was “For the Dignity of Daughters: Ending Child Marriage in India” Organised at India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi. Affiliation with NAVPRABHAT, 2000- Involved in various activities of research and actions with new emerging national NGO ‘NAVPRABHAT’ which is working to empower women and children, based in New Delhi. An article on “Child Labour in India” was published in organisation’s Newsletter. A Year with GREENPEACE (Dec 2003-Jan 2005) Worked as Direct Dialogue Recruiter with GREENPEACE, an organisation working globally to save the environment. Also persuaded and campaigns for the saving environment. Participated in various campaigns regarding toxic pollution.
