My work in 2007 as a librarian at the Sierra Leone Library Board caught the attention of the Independent Media Commission (IMC) which hired me to manage its database and Internet services for the Sierra Leone media sector. Based on my work at the IMC, I was chosen for a full scholarship in Europe where I earned an advanced university degree in Library and Information Science. When I returned to Sierra Leone I was immediately hired to head the information services at Sierra Leone’s new Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SLIEPA). In 2010, I was nominated by SLIEPA to attend the Information Management training programme organized by the International Trade Centre (ITC), a joint World Trade Organization (WTO) and United Nations (UN) organization, to train with a small international group in Geneva and London in small business export facilitation. My career goal is to progressively advance in senior-level management positions in either the private or public sector and work as an effective leader in the revitalization of the economy and society of Sierra Leone.
