I have a doctoral degree in international development from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (USA) and a master's degree in second languages and cultures education. For the past 25 years I have been working in development, mainly in Southeast Asia and South Asia and now am beginning to work in Africa (Sudan). My areas of interest are monitoring and evaluation, capacity enhancement, peace and conflict studies, education (formal, non-formal and adult)and gender and development. I particularly like project design and strategic planning. I am looking forward to being part of the Fragile States network.
