UNICEF Iraq Country Office invites proposals from suitably qualified institutions, consultancy firms or professional groups to conceptualize, lead, coordinate and write the UNICEF Rights-Based, Equity-Focused and Child-Centred Situation Analysis of Children and Women in Iraq. The bids could be submitted either by Iraqi consultants or international consultants but it would be preferred if Iraqis and International organisations submit joint proposals or indicate the potential “twining” (International-Iraq) for conducting the Situation Analysis.
The SitAn should serve at least the following functions:
- Contribute to UN country program approaches: The Situation Analysis, which it is to be undertaken at least once every program cycle, offers an opportunity to support the United Nations Common Country Assessment and drive the process with a child and women focused analysis to provide evidence for programming, policy
2. Strengthen evidence-based policy advocacy: UNICEF Iraq is committed to increase its attention towards more policy advocacy and partnerships, based on evidence from this detailed analysis.
- Focus attention on priority needs and reducing specific disparities in realization of global goals and human rights commitments.
