Academically, I have obtained a masters degree in the field of Mass Communication and Journalism. I have been working with Dorling Kindersley, a UK based publishing house in India for more than two years. Along with this gainful employment, wherein I have worked to convert books into their digital counterparts, I have also been volunteering for TakingITGlobal and writing articles as well as scripts on a freelance basis along with providing assistance in the media functions of the World Lung Foundation in India as a consultant. The freelance ventures mentioned below reflect upon my comfort with all mediums of communication: 1- Volunteering as a member of the Media and Communications sub-committee of the Bali Youth Force which performed the media functions during the pre-congress youth forum and the ICAAP, 2009. I helped design its press kit, advocacy booklet as well as the press conferences material. 2- Lending my voice to few small scale audio and audio-visual ventures. I have made short films on a small scale for the development sector. Apart from this I have also participated in debates broadcasted from the community radio station. 3- Writing for the health section of Mail Today, the Delhi-based morning-daily that is published as a joint venture of the Living Media India Ltd (The India Today Group) and UK’s Associated Newspapers Ltd (ANL) 4- Promo-producer for BIG 92.7 FM (Allahabad) an ADA Group initiative (Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group). 5- Scripted a short film for the EU and am now involved in its production. (The script and the scratch recording can be provided on request) 6- Working as a woman videographer for the project "WAVE" funded by the MacArthur Foundation.
