I have about twenty-two years’ experiences in advocacy and communication including BCC, training, social marketing program. Strategy development, social mobilization, publication, training materials and audio-visual BCC/IEC material/manual and message development, and capacity building of partner organizations are the major areas of my work. I have gained outstanding skills in facilitating and managing programs and events, and awareness campaigns including media campaign, orientation, workshop, seminar, fair, press briefings etc. As a Marketing/Communications Specialist of Smiling Sun Franchise Program (SSFP) a largest heath program network funded by USAID, I am contributing to develop market and implement BCC/communication strategy for health franchise network all over Bangladesh. As a Consultant, Advocacy and Communication with Save the Children-USA under GFATM fund, I have provided technical assistance to the National AIDS/STD Program (NASP) to build its capacity on advocacy and communication. My responsibilities included but not limited to BCC and advocacy, training, workshop and campaign. I have also worked as an Advocacy and BCC/Communication Specialist of UNFPA, funded by the World Bank and DFID and provided technical assistance to the National AIDS/STD Programme (NASP) of Government of Bangladesh and its implementing partners in developing BCC and program communication strategies and implementing advocacy and training programs at different level. As a Program Communication Coordinator of NSDP-Pathfinder International funded by USAID, I have assisted NSDP including eight regional program operation units and partner NGOs in developing and implementing different advocacy and BCC/communication activities all over the country and managed different events like America week, regional and national coordination meetings, training and workshops etc. As a Technical Officer-BCC of Pathfinder International-RSDP program funded by USAID, I have provided technical assistance on BCC, training and monitored RSDP-Partner NGOs ESP services, social marketing campaign, and training activities and provided technical assistance to develop their capacity. I have managed a project on HIV/AIDS, as a Project Officer during my job with VHSS, an apex body of health NGOs in Bangladesh funded by The Ford Foundation. I also worked as Assistant Training Officer and as Assistant Publication Officer with VHSS. Since started my carrier with health and communication development organization in 1989, I have gathered knowledge and experiences on project planning, strategic communication and advocacy, coordination and networking.
