Kanayo Omonoju has together 10 years of experience as a public health pharmacist and a development worker. She is involved in the design, managing and implementation of concepts around strategic health communications geared at Social and Behaviour Change Communication principles. Her Pharmacy and Public Health training has given her a cutting edge in her career path. As a communication specialist, she has supported, several communication workshops amongst which is the Leadership in Strategic Health Communication (LSHC) workshops alongside renown communication experts from the Center for Communication programs Nigeria(CCPN), and Johns Hopkins Center for Communications Programs (JHU·CCP)
She holds the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) 2004 degree of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree (2008) from the Public Health Department of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Glasgow, Scotland.
She currently serves as a Programs Officer at the Center for Communication Programs Nigeria. Her roles are invaluable as she provides technical support to staff on the field, giving support to the communication components of their tasks. Projects involved in under CCPN are Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (NURHI), NetWorks, GAIN, SuNMaP, Polio, Vitamin A supplementation (VAS) etc. Projects with focus on malaria, family planning, nutrition, polio etc.
She has worked with great precision on assignments and tasks with outstanding results. Being a focused, confident, determined and optimistic individual, she possesses organizational skills and is committed to excellence. She is very keen on taking on new daily challenges, and has a keen eye for details. She is passionate at her duties and is an excellent team player. She communicates effectively both written and orally. Loves Public speaking and enjoys meeting new people and networking.
