I am and will continue to be a practicing journalist and working within the spectrum of media and communication activities. I was a news broadcaster, news editor and producer of 2 health radio discussions program in hausa and english known as lafiya jari and radio doctor at Jigawa Broadcasting Corporation and Nigeria Television Authority Dutse. I had been a Public Relations Officer for Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development and a press reporter to the Wife of Governor Turaki. I have both Government, Non-Governmental Institutions, National and International experience in attaining Strategic Behaviour Change Communication skills for over 10 years and expertise in working on Health communication and Health Promotion, Message and Material Development, Media polling, Fact Sheet development, Script writing on local lingua for both print and electronic medium, Needs Assessment, media monitoring, facilitation skills, team management, Advocacy tool kit development, participatory learning and action. I have worked with both Government Owned TV and Radio Houses as a News Editor, Newscaster and Producer of health programs in Hausa Language. I have participated in developing posters, fact sheet, leaflets, hand bills, media production for various stakeholders and Development Partners particularly on Safe Motherhood, Routine Immunization, Malaria and HIV/AIDS.I have also had experience working with CBOs/NGOs in Northern Nigeria particularly on Reproductive Health, Malaria and HIV/AIDS.
