Patricia Bakir is an independent international development consultant with 25 years of experience working with UN agencies, NGOs, the private sector and universities in US, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. As a social scientist with an advanced degree in water engineering, Patricia is in a unique position to creatively bring together social and technical aspects of projects. In Jordan, she has contributed to a range of projects focusing on institutional and communication aspects of water sector management and numerous evaluations and project proposals in economic development and adolescent programming. In Jerusalem, she managed a Food and Nutrition Program in Jerusalem serving 90,000 people. In Africa, she conducted participatory research and advocacy on agriculture, and provided project development and evaluation services on water and sanitation projects. In developing strategic communication and action plans for promoting behavior change, Patricia consults and collaborates with stakeholders to ensure that their voices are heard and addressed; and with counterparts to enhance their skills. Patricia is also an experienced trainer, facilitator, rapporteur and can provide business development services such as recruitment, research and proposal writing.
