Negassa Gissila: is a Development communication expert with over four years work experience as a journalist in the National Broadcast Agency. Broad areas of journalistic experience include issues related to economic growth and other challenges to development such as poverty, HIV/AIDS and Gender related topics. In the past Negassa worked as Livelihood Project Coordinator and Researcher for BBC World Service Trust, in Addis Ababa Ethiopia where he took part in doing formative research, base line studies and pre test of communication materials of Behavioral Change communication campaigns. Negassa also worked as in Anti Malaria and ANC/PMTCT Behavioral Change Communication Campaigns as a consultant for AED/C-change. Currently Negassa is working as freelance consultant in various areas of Development and communication. The organizations that he carried out Monitoring and Evaluation services include among others Water AID, Wash Ethiopia Movement, AED/Net Mark, AED/C-Change, HelpAge International Ethiopia, CAFOD, Trio care, Panos, Forum for Social Studies /Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Pact Ethiopia, Pathfinder International, and African Medical Research Foundation (AMREF) in areas of Livelihood and Health related topics. Negassa holds a Masters Degree in Development and poverty studies from the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, Netherlands. He has taken tailor made courses on Gender Budgeting, Gender Auditing and other Gender mainstreaming techniques in Sweden and Vietnam.
