Patient Centred Approach in TB patient care interventional study in three districts of Northwestern province of Zambia. The study’s objectives were to increase patient centeredness with TB programming in Zambia. An interventional study to improve knowledge and experience of mainstream lining patient involvement into their own care. The results indicate that patient involvement in their own care promotes better adherence to treatment.
A member of the National Response Team for Ebola Virus Disease control where she has been involved in development of communication strategies for Ebola prevention and control; capacity building of health providers in Ebola prevention and control; and orientation of media personnel in reporting on Ebola.
A member of the National Task Force for Avian and Human Influenza (communication subcommittee) where she has participated in development of National Response Plan incorporating a communication strategy. Has organized and participated in both desk and field simulation exercises for Avian and Human Influenza. Participated in regional meetings for Avian and Human Influenza (AHI) for communication strategy development and coordination. Outcome was prevention of influenza in the country
Conducting research in Stigma related to HIV/AIDS in the health facilities for AIDS Alliance (2008). Results show that stigma was affecting access to health services
Supervised the Survey for validation of Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus Elimination (2007). Study led to the country being declared neonatal tetanus free
Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) tool design workshops with small scale enterprise organizations with International Development Enterprise (a USAID Agency). Facilitated improvement of implementation of projects by small scale organizations.
Baseline Survey on HIV & AIDS and Socio-economic status with Plan International (1997 to 1998). Study resulted into activation of various programmes in the country that support health, education and social-economic status of vulnerable children in rural areas
