I am a lecturer at the Uniswersity of Swaziland for nursing science and arts courses and HIV and AIDS course offered and the Faculty of Health Sciences and also offering lectures at the Faculty of Social Sicences to BASS and law Degre students. I have been previously emloyed by the NERCHA ( the Council for HIV and AIDS in Swaziland that is coordinating the multisectoral HIV and AIDS response. My position was that Head of the HIV and AIDS programmes Division, which entailled overseeing HIV prevention team, treatment Care & Suppport teams and the impact Mitigation team. Prior to my position as the head of Division i was the national HIV Prevention Coordinator among my responsibilities i was coordinating all national HIV prevention for both the health sector and non-health. The non- health sector focus being SBCC. I spearheaded the development of the first draft HIV SBCC Strategy. I facilitated and participated in various SBCC campaign including one which was adressing MCPs (makhwapeni Uyabulala campaign) in 2008.
I have a keen interest in doing consultancy work for informing programme development and also impact of programme delivery in the HIV and AIDS arena and on other health related issues. being in the academic field i am interested in developing the capcity of my students to be individuals with a keen interest in inquiry/learning to inform their day-to-day activities in the field. In time (2 years from now) I intend to embark on my PhD studies in a related area. I have not yet defined my focus.
