I am a recent graduate student in the Drama Therapy Masters' program at NYU. During the academic year, I had a chance to intern at Creative Alternatives of New York (CANY), where I used drama therapy techniques to work with groups of international refugees at IRC(International Rescue Committee). This experience allows me to learn so much from the clients, I learn the reality of those words such as "human right", "equality “or just simply "survive"... those words they have to fight for but hardly receive.
Currently, I am volunteering in NYCare and working on the project which focus on "Literacy and Crafts with the Children at Women for Afghan Women".
I am interested in how can we help people who had suffered under war or nature disaster to express their emotions through theater and any other art form.
