My name is Linda Paxling and I’m a PhD Student in Technoscience studies at the School of Planning and Media Design, Blekinge Institute of Technology, Campus Karlshamn, Sweden.
It is a design-innovative and technoscientific project, with an aim of providing socio-technical insights of the potential of the mobile artifact as a contributor to poverty reduction and socio-economic development, new knowledges of gender and power discourses within mobile technologies and insights on user adoption and user design processes that will contribute to improved development of mobile services and technology. The project will provide design related stakeholders, policy-makers, academics and strategists with a gender-sensitive, contextualized user design framework in mobile technologies for development.
