What forms the centre of her work and research is the role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) to foster inclusive and sustainable development and democratization processes.
She is an untiring advocator of cross-media solutions, driven by demands and relevancy to the target groups she works with.
Throughout her career Kersti has worked with a strong focus on citizen advocacy and participative development. She has been responsible for strategic planning, advice, and implementation processes in various countries, consulting organizations such as Oxfam Novib and Amnesty International.
Having worked in communications prior to her academic and current career, Kersti understands and speaks the language of diverse disciplines and is a strong communicator and concept creator.
Kersti combines a sharp analytic and strategic mindset with the sensitivity for different cultures and people and highly enjoys working in dynamic and diverse teams. She is experienced in the facilitation of co-creative strategy development processes and capacity-building trainings.
Currently, Kersti works as a lecturer for international Communication and Media and as freelance consultant. She wishes to continue and intensify her contribution to foster democratic processes through citizen empowerment and to turn her enthusiasm and expertise into meaningful solution-finding and implementation processes.
