I work as coordination officer in Bolivia since 1998. From that position I deal with themes related with the UN Reform: assisting and advising the RC, streghthening of the UNCT, coordination of strategic planning proceses (in three ocasions), preparing and elaborating joint programmes, supervising thematic groups, giving track and monitoring relations with all development partners (government, civil society organizations, academic institutions, private sector and other donors).
My performance as Coordination Officer gave me an extensive perspective of social, economical and political issues in the country. It also gave me the possibility to exchange information, data and experiencies with colleagues in other countries of the region and the world, widening my points of view on development problems and their eventual solutions. I was abble to manage some interesting discussions and debates on public policy, the role of development actores, aid effectiveness.
I had the opportunity to address multisectoral approaches such as human rights, inter-culturality, gender, sustainability and also HIV-AIDS issues. I took part of the HIV-AIDS Technical Group and support activities and programmes carried out in the country by UNAIDS.
