I am an African Information and Communication Officer with a B.Sc in Mass Communication and M.Sc in international Relations.For over 14years, I have worked with the National Biotechnology Development Agency(NABDA), Abuja ,Nigeria as an Information and Communication Officer. I currently head the communication and Protocol Unit of NABDA. My major role revolves around controversial science(Biotechnology) communication and advocacy. I have carried out several media awareness and social engagement campaigns targeted towards opinion change and biotechnology policy adoption particularly in the area of agricultural biotechnology. I am a prolific writer and storyteller.I have written several news stories, published several Newsletters and promotional materials for the organisation I work with. I also build and join networks that resonate with my areas of interest. I engage and interact with the target audience on various social media such as private blogs,facebook, and twitter. My passion is to demystify controversial sciences like biotechnology and promote those areas of science that have potentials of alleviating the hunger and poverty in Africa. I am also very concerned about the protection of the environment from activities of man that affect the environment. Furthermore, the growing effects of climate change and efforts to curb them is also a great concern to me.
