I have provided technical support in public health to Ministries of Health through donor funded projects for priority areas mainly disease prevention and control, health promotion and in the area of human resources for health. This was specifically in the areas of; coordination of emergency response, setting of standards/norms (guideline development) and recruitment and training of various health cadres. I was also involved in advocacy, proposal and report writing on project and programme activities to donors and other levels of WHO. I supported monitoring and evaluation activities for the organisation's disease control projects focusing mainly on cholera and measles. I also worked closely with other partners including government and NGOs in health promotion & protection, through materials development, setting of standards, dialogue with affected communities among others. I facilitated inter-agency information exchange within the health cluster (as well as with WASH and other intercluster fora); managed cluster Information and communication including mapping/gather operational data, documentation and dissemination to MOHCW, health/Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) partners and donors. I have conducted advocacy and communication activities to raise the profile of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) and Public Health Emergencies using new (twitter, e-news) and old media (banners, factsheets and others). I have also drafted, edited and produced programme reports and strategic documents to enhance coordination, support implementation of NTD programmes and improve documentation of activities.
