Zodyak Events n Entertainment Productions (Zodyak Productions for short) was established on 1st April, 2012 by Henry A Miguel Jr., of Dangriga, Belize to organize, produce and promote family-oriented cultural programmes, activities and events in harmony with UNESCO’s 2001 declaration proclaiming the Garifuna language, music, and dance a masterpiece of the oral and intangible heritage of humanity. This recognition has bolstered local efforts, Zodyak Productions included, to preserve this vibrant culture.
The proprietor, Mr. Miguel who up to recently was the Manager/News Director of NGC Radio-Hamalali Garinagu 100.1 F.M., is a producer, promoter and cultural activist who has been very passionate in promoting aspects of the Garifuna culture. He assisted at the Gulisi Garifuna Museum for two years. As a producer, he has tried to access all opportunities for training, locally, nationally and internationally, so that he can help broaden the range and quality of programmes, activities and events that Zodyak Productions offers to the public. Mr. Miguel’s dedication to his journalistic and administrative duties combined with his passion for the preservation of the culture is what makes him stand out among his peers. Mr. Miguel is also a musician, a former soldier and former teacher who graduated from Stann Creek Ecumenical High School in June 1984.
Zodyak Events n Entertainment Productions continues to develop worthy programming, activities and events which seek to inform, educate, and entertain our listeners, event-goers and guests. Our programming mix is aimed at an increasing range of meaningful talk programmes and live performances, which is uniquely Garifuna by providing authentic cultural services with integrity.
