SUMMARY: As the Communications and C4D Specialist, Hammad is involved in exploring the power of design, communications and storytelling to create compelling products through proven techniques of traditional and contemporary communications such as behaviour change, mass media awareness, interpersonal communications and advocacy. Over the past 11 years, Hammad has led and managed programme communications of development and many industry firsts. He holds the experience of behavioural change communications, awareness and advocacy campaigns, advertising and media management. Currently, Hammad is working as ‘Campaign Manager’ (Communications Specialist) since 2015, leading the National Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) Campaign on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) naming “Saaf Sehatmand Pakistan” (Clean Healthy Pakistan). It is a joint initiative with Ministry of Climate Change – Government of Pakistan led by WaterAid in collaboration with UNICEF and Plan International. Hammad has successfully developed campaign’s concept note, comprehensive five years national BCC communication strategy in consultation with governments, WASH, Education and Health sector partners and stakeholders. While learning from similar regional and global campaigns of development and social change. Further, he has successfully designed the campaign and develop campaign products for mass media, interactive community campaign and for policy and advocacy purpose which includes public service messages, IEC material, community engagement content, audio visual material, research reports, voices from the field and the campaign’s initial phase has now been rolled-out and executed. Hammad pursues opportunities aimed at communications, behaviour change, awareness raising, advocacy and innovation in the development sector by working closely with social enterprises, non-profits and businesses to bring creative approaches to the programme and communications. OBJECTIVE: Lead the communications, campaigns and programme as a key team member to bring change in the society for improved living with my technical knowledge, expertise and experience using human centred communication design for the well-being of communities.
