Greg Clough’s career in communications and international development began in the late 1980s and includes substantial periods living and working in the USA, Australia and, most prominently, Indonesia. Greg has worked for the World Bank, USAID and AusAID, assisted journalists around the world, and collaborated with a broad range of donor agencies, international organizations, national governments and global CSOs. His overseas work also includes the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
Key elements in Greg’s successful career include his strategic direction, political judgment, highly-successful media liaison, diplomacy and ability to connect with people at all levels, strong writing and editing skills, and team leading and mentoring abilities.
Greg’s has met and provided communications assistance to Presidents, Prime Ministers, First Ladies, Senior Ministers, Ambassadors, and the Heads of Multilateral Agencies and Government Departments.
He has also provided community-level communications, working with district and village officials, often in their own language, including in post-conflict East Timor and post-tsunami Aceh.
