Farouk Nii Tetteh Nettey
I am a passionate young man who believes in youth empowerment and also issues concerning health, sanitaion, gender and community based develipment. I studied Theatre Arts at the University of Ghana. Having studied theatre arts, I fully understand the importance of theatre in nation building, and in essence, I use it as my main tool to attract support for projects I initiate. One such project is the Adinkra Workshop, which concentrates on occupying the youth in a semi-rural communities in Ghana, by engaging them in drama and dance, while also creating a safe place for them to share ideas and receive mentoring.
My involvement in political activities in the country has improved my leadership skills. I have served on community based boards and projects, such as the Awudome community board, and I have been volunteering at the local centers in Ghana like the Street Girl’s Aid in Accra and the Feo Eyou community youth center in Awudome Estate, for over four years in Accra, Ghana, where I reside.
I have excellent interpersonal skills and good communication skills. I am healthy, energetic, fit and always ready to take up new challenges. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a concentration in Theatre for Development and currently pursing my Masters in Communication and Media studies at the Universtity of Educatrion, Winneba with concentrartion in Development communication.
