I developed the strategic plan for this project and subsequently implemented a wide range of communications initiatives to advise Stakeholders of progress and to engage affected communities in the reconstruction process; interactive radio programming, grassroots field assessments, establishment of beneficiary call centers, and production of various print media materials. Prior to my work in Indonesia, I managed a USAID-funded assignment in Kyrgyzstan as Advocacy/Media Advisor developing a public awareness anti-corruption campaign to support social, economic, and legal reform. As Media Marketing Specialist with the Public Information Office of United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in Gaza I was responsible for developing a communications and marketing strategy addressing the status of Palestinian refugees. Further, I offer substantial experience as Director of Media and Director of Communications on USAID, USIA, and World Bank funded projects.
