“Edu arts” works to be the leading arts development organization in Uganda, with strong
innovative cultural experiences and notable developed capacities in productivity. Through a
stable and fabulous management structures we shall transform a collection idealistic performers,
writers and educationalists into a solid committed functional vehicle for national development.
“Edu arts” shall continue to serve the people of Uganda and beyond with educational experiences and employ powerful creative works for development, growth and entertainment.
We envisage putting up programmes to benefit vast audiences from both rural and urban areas in Uganda, in a number of disciplines – cultural and developmental.
“Edu arts” intends to develop an arts based communication strategy for the fight against HIV/AIDS, corruption and child torture, managing with proficiency large scale cultural events, forum theatre workshops providing an extraordinary series of open exchanges between all people and the exploitation of injustices.
“Edu arts” is geared to stimuli a greater innovative capacity in the cultural and development
industries as a whole.
Edu arts is concerned to the fact that many people have no access to Arts based educational skills,
and the knowledge of how to enact empowering educational experiences at a grassroots level also

We are building a platform and developing a forum and an approach that can be defined as a new
African Art with fusions of regional and international influences. This is a consolidated Art and
communicative programme which will ensure organizational movement towards the
right direction of achieving its vision.
Working in partnership with other stake holders, Edu Arts is to implement a consolidated and
integrated arts and communication programme that will benefit a wide range of artists, and the
Ugandan society as a whole; a programme that provides the public with diverse cultural and
development experiences. The thematic areas of emphasis are Gender equality and Women’s rights,
Democracy and governance, Justice, Health, Community and Social development.
Further more, this consolidated arts and communication programme intends to contribute to the eradication of child abuse in Uganda through further developing a culture of free speech, free expression and criticism and providing sustained communication of positive development messages at a national level and grass roots driven interactive community education. Themes are general and based upon cross-cutting principals of human development, and entirely accommodate Uganda national priorities for development.
