I am a former Associate Professor of Health Education and have been working
in the health education, health promotion and health literacy field for over 10 years. I have been a faculty member in the US and Canada. I have developed new health education programs and created and taught over
25 diverse higher education courses across degree levels (undergraduate, graduate, teacher education, professional programs). More recently, I was invited to come on board as the Senior Advisor, Health Education and Health Literacy with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). I am currently a health literacy consultant and a sessional instructor at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.

With a strong background, experience and a keen interest in innovative health programming I am
interested in multidisciplinary and applied practice, transferring research to practice, experiential
and distance learning, and participation with policy-makers and key stakeholders for health and
learning efforts to advance health literacy and public health.
