CARLO BRESCIA (Lima 1973). With interdisciplinary Studies in Peru (Industrial Engineering 1999), England (Master in Science Project Planning and Management 2003), Cuba (Short Course in Cultural Management 2005), Belgium (Advanced Master in Cultural and Development Studies 2009) and Mexico (Creative Documentary 2010). He lives in Ancash/Perú since 1999 and has been implementing cultural projects since then. He was the director of the Development, Culture and Tourism from the Peripheria magazine (2005-2008); producer and writer of the Series of Quechua Educational Documentaries – Warasqa Kichwa Markam (2007); and editor of the Postcard books: Huaraz – Andean Urbanity (2006) andCordillera Blanca - In the Eye of the Guide (2008). He also has worked as an associate lecturer at the Universidad Privada San Pedro and at the Centre of High Mountain Studies in Huaraz.The documentaries he produced in 2007 now are part of the UNESCO database Diversity Cameras, have won awards and have been shown at festivales and screenings around the World. He also has contributed to the production of other documentaries made in the region like Roads of Development – Encounters & Disencounters (Dir. A. Etienne & N. Bordier 2007).
