I have vast experience as the technical advisor for the prevention of HIV/ AIDS strategies for different projects within several NGOs funded by GIZ. My main duty was to oversee the development of HIV/TB preventive strategies, manage them by supervising the implementation processes and provision of guidance and technical support to the HIV/AIDS managers or Focal persons. I was responsible for building the capacity of all the partner organizations in adoption and implementation of other cross-cutting issue which was gender mainstreaming strategies within the projects. I therefore have in-depth knowledge and expertise in advising on HIV/TB issues and taking the position of management of the projects. GIZ expected a standardized system in proposal writing, budgets and all financial reporting of which I designed and was fully responsible for. I was again responsible for monitoring and evaluating the prevention programs.
The year 2012 to now has given me more time to sharpen and increase my knowledge of HIV/TB through the number of awareness raising workshops and activities I conducted and or given technical advice and support.
Furthermore, my responsibilities embraced building and fostering relationships with donors, governmental institutions, development agencies and other national/regional organizations dealing with the response to HIV/TB and wellness issues.
I have over the years had an opportunity to represent my organization in some regional and International conference and workshop. I have attended the HIV mainstreaming conference in Kenya and have either assisted in facilitation or attended quite a few workshops within Zimbabwe and the region.
Years of managing projects and advanced counseling qualification has equipped me with good interpersonal and communication skills needed for the position. I am also a person who believes in good, quick and well informed decision making process for the sake of progress.
