My job experience in the international assistance field began as System Manager for USAID/G-CAP providing support in Guatemala and the Central American Region; and continued when working outside Guatemala for Development Alternatives Inc. (DAI), a US private corporation, as an Information System Specialist and Manager providing support to its different international programs.
I also obtained the knowledge, skills and experience as a Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist working for DAI in their home office in Bethesda, MD and overseas in Bolivia and Tanzania providing direct technical support to their Performance Monitoring Information System. I have participated on different teams to define the key information required in the database application systems to establish a baseline, monitor progress and report results of the projects.
Working in the field has allowed me to understand the key partners’ interests, from the point of view of the donor, performing contractor, local government and final beneficiaries of the project. I have become familiar with US Federal regulations and international organization policies and procedures through direct training and daily work experience.
