The study’s aims were to identify problems faced by youth, with the aim to suggest ways of promoting and encouraging youth to use\access youth centre and Youth Friendly Health Services, thus encouraging and making schools to be more welcoming and responsive to the needs including those who are vulnerable and marginalized. This clearly indicates my interest and appreciation in issues pertaining to children and youth with special educational needs and in particular, children\youth who can not decide for their choices.

Awareness on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for Adolescents issues (Diploma on Advanced Training), in Sweden Oct-Nov 2004 Stockholm
I have awareness on children’s issues in relation to International policies on children. Several UN policies affirm the rights of all children to be valued equally, treated with equal opportunities within the mainstream life. These include: The UN Convention on the Right of the Child 1989, which promotes and protects the rights of all children. The children’s Act (1989) focuses on the child’s welfare and makes the child the focal point of intervention. The Act safeguards all the child’s rights and needs.
I am a strong believer of equal opportunity and an advocate of non-discriminatory practices. I highly believe that human beings, irrespective of gender, race, or other differences should be respected for what they are and should live with one another, respecting individual rights to allow peaceful and dignified coexistence. People, irrespective of the above, should be treated equally, receive same services, particularly in relation to employment, recruitment, training and access to services (education and health services)
Personal Motivation: my experience, anchored in sound academic background which helped me to develop mental and physical capabilities, coupled with moral values, have assisted me to keep a sound level of alertness and neatness enabling me to be well focused on my career, and life in general. I have also developed strong and excellent Interpersonal Communication skills both orally and otherwise. This emanates from dealing with diverse community organizations such as Non governmental Organization, Health Services, Local schools, Police, Government authorities, Business community and International Agencies. This enhances my interaction with other professionals, clientele and the community at large.
