I am a Senior Communications, Brand and Marketing professional (strategy, implementation and evaluation), with over 12 years experience, looking to move into Development Communications. I have worked with some of the biggest global brands and I'm keen to make a transition into a more fulfilling role/career.
Though I have some experience in the charity sector, I am undertaking a course at the University of Cambridge in International Development to help bolster my technical knowledge of the field.
I am hoping to get some experience within a Development Consultancy firm to garner varied comms project experiences, ideally on both a national and internationally level.
My Development Communications experience to date include:
Strategic communications consultation for domestic abuse charity, Tender UK. Developed digital assets for website strategy, including content management and content generation to feed into social media planning.
Mentored children who suffer from trauma in urban London, using psychological and creative tools developed from Kids Company training in ‘Therapeutic Communication Skills for work with Children’.
Launched Sing Up - a Government initiative to incorporate singing as a teaching tool across UK primary schools. Involved research, insights-driven launch strategy and creating marketing materials such as: educational film, printed collateral, website design & development.
Developed marketing materials for Motherless Babies Orphanage in Nigeria to increase awareness and encourage high-profile donors.
Fundraising and communication strategist with TAF Charity Events, which was set up with two friends to support often unknown and smaller international projects. Planned events with key donors to raise funds for an ambulance service for local clinics in rural Tanzania, for example.
