Ms. Ijumba Alice has 16 years of experience in implementation of reproductive health (RH) and HIV/AIDS prevention projects in Tanzania. She is knowledgeable and skilled on designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of HIV/AIDS interventions for adolescents/youth with vast competence in behavior change communication, youth peer education & life skills, youth friendly services, social marketing, gender and community involvements.
She is currently a HIV/AIDS Prevention Specialist with UNICEF- Tanzania where she contributes on design, implement, monitor and evaluates project work in relation to primary HIV prevention to adolescents and youth and child protection system strengthening.
The major areas of interest is improving the social welbeing of young people particualarly adolescents girls as they are more vulnerable to HIV/AIDS and other reproductive health realted problems of which can be preventable if there is political will and community support.
She has a Master of Science in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition from Sokoine University.
