Prior to joining UNICEF, I worked across the corporate, not-for-profit, government and education sectors in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and Vietnam, as a consultant, in-house specialist and educator.
This included several years as a university lecturer and work as the Communications and Marketing Manager at Marie Stopes International and CARE.
I am currently living and working in Pakistan while working on a C4D strategy focused on protecting and advocating for the rights of the country’s most vulnerable children.
I have a long-standing passion for working on complex communication problems with culturally and linguistically diverse communities. This is combined with a strong commitment to theoretically-informed communication praxis that facilitates change, strengthens communities and is sensitive to the needs of context.
My areas of focus as a Child Protection Communication for Development Specialist include child labour, child trafficking, child marriage, landmine/IED/UXO injury prevention, violence and abuse, child soldiers, the rights of children with disabilities, juvenile justice, increasing birth registration rates and supporting children living and working on the streets.
