I have extensive experience in HIV prevention, particularly with key populations. I have been responsible for programmes designed to reach and mobilise key populations using a geo-focused approach. This I have done for 10 years plus in Kenya, India and elsewhere. I am committed to combination prevention and care, with a focus on addressing structual issues such as criminalization, stigma and violence in addition to the usual HIV prevention and care approaches of STI treatment, behaviour change, VCT, ART etc. In this context, I believe that key populations can/should be supported to organise and represent their own issues.
In terms of skills, I am very strong in building on-the-ground capacity of individuals, community groups and NGOs as well as problem identification, programme design, implemantation and management.
