Mr Ken Swann has over 30 years experience in the development and implementation of public information, education and behaviour change communication campaigns in 14 countries across Asia. This has necessitated working with a wide range of government officials and local and international implementing partners on the design, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of national and local–level interventions.
His experience ranges from programme analysis, information needs analysis, investigation into the most effective communication channels and management arrangements, to the strategic delivery of targeted messages.
Mr Swann’s extensive knowledge and experience includes guiding the researching, writing, editing, designing, pre–testing, use and evaluation of education and information media and materials for community awareness building programmes. He has been responsible for developing and producing information media targeted towards specific audience groups including urban and rural populations. His work regularly involves capacity building for government and NGO staff.
Mr Swann holds a Master’s in Southeast Asian Studies/Development Communications from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor’s in Mass Communications/Print Journalism from the University of Colorado, Pueblo. In addition, he holds an Advanced Certificate in Graphic Design from the Sessions School of Design, New York, New York, USA.
