Advises international organisations on advocacy, campaign planning and communications strategies to influence policy on HIV/AIDS, accountability and international development. Produces campaign materials, reports, evaluations and publications including blogs for the Huffington Post. Current and previous clients include the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, World AIDS Campaign, the Global Union AIDS Programme, International Labour Organisation, the World Health Organisation, the Canadian Labour Congress and International Transport Workers Federation.
Recent work: Author – UNAIDS – Case Study on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1983; Consultant and Principal Evaluator—Global AIDS Project, International Transport Workers Federation – designed an impact evaluation of the $4.5 million global union’s AIDS programme and authored key recommendation for its Executive Management Committee; Consultant and author—Standards and Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work Sector (STANDARDS), ILO – strategic communications manuals for trade unions and governments;
UNAIDS – Advocacy and Campaign Unit – Devised strategies to accelerate the multi-agency implementation of UNAIDS’ “Outcome Framework” and updating its field staff guide on advocacy.

Provided strategic and technical guidance to the Chief, Advocacy and Campaigns Unit and the GUAP on labour advocacy related issues. Authored a field guide for UNAIDS headquarters and field staff on engaging labour at country level.

Led efforts to elevate the workplace as a key venue in the global response to AIDS by influencing the G-8, EU, the ILO, OECD, the World Bank and regional bodies such as SADC and CARICOM.
Working with the White House Office of National AIDS Policy, he was a principle organizer of the White House-hosted U.S. – Africa Trade Union Summit on HIV/AIDS, the Caribbean Trade Union Summit on HIV/AIDS and coordinated labour participation for the CDC-CARICOM Business and Labour Summit on HIV/AIDS, and the US-Russia Business and Labour Summit on HIV/AIDS. Authored the “Gaborone Declaration on HIV/AIDS in the Workplace in 2000.”
