A Health Care Management specialist with Twelve (12) years experience in Tuberculosis and AIDS/HIV services, Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission, Child health and Anti Retroviral Therapy (ART). I have worked in various capacities in the Zambian Health care system. I have provided both hands on management and technical assistance of Tuberculosis (TB), PMTCT and related illnesses including WHO Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses. As a Clinical Care Expert with the Kitwe District Health Management Team covering more than 27 satellite health centers and the referral hospital, I was advisor on specific clinical issues including ART, PMTCT and TB. I was successfully responsible for coordinating, implementing and monitoring the start up of the cross referral programmes of tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS in both Kitwe and Eastern Province. As Assistant Field Manager of the Integrated Tuberculosis Aids Programme project, a CDC funded project, I oversees implementation of TB prevention and curative activities using the Diagnostic Counseling Testing which links TB patients with ART for HIV positive patients who seek help at clinics. I also oversees the Implementation of CT and PMTCT activities in Three Rural Districts of Eastern Province namely Chadiza, Chama and Lundazi .I have been a clinical care practitioner for twelve continuous years. In addition to this, I am also a Field manager for a five year USAID’s Child survival and Health grant program (CSHGP) funded TB-DOTS project Thanzi whose objective is to increase Case detection rate for TB in four Districts of Eastern Province of Zambia.
