Researching the intercourse of media and sexuality as it affects young people is interesting because it always brings to the fore the voices of the silenced. because those voices are used to being silent however, it can be tough getting them to speak up... or to even identify and acknowledge their thoughts as they relate to their sexuality. The pervasiveness of the media in this age means that it is sometimes difficult to sift media influences from those of the society and culture.
Why do I keep up? Because each and every time I fight that battle of understanding and analysing I emerge smiling albeit bloodied. And each and every time I say these words: "it was worth it".
