Ravi is an experienced Social Worker (with specialization in Social Development); globally advocating human rights for over 16 years with focus on Social Inclusion and Social Justice. He has gained extensive experience in working progressively with UN agencies, Civil Society Organizations, local NGOs & the private sector on their Corporate Responsibility initiatives and with academia on forwarding child and women’s rights.
Ravi's core competencies include people centred leadership, strategizing, programme and grants management, innovating, people centred management, advocacy, capacity development, fundraising, networking and partnership. He has extensive experience in management of multicultural, multilingual teams; diversity promotion and equal opportunities.
He has demonstrated expertise in building up greenfield programs from scratch into globally accepted thought leadership assets. He has worked on project assignments in Least Developed, Middle Income and Industrialised countries around the world. He has extensively contributed to policy work including organising High Level Ministerial Consultations, contributing to the UN General Assembly mechanisms, processes related to regional bodies such as the EU, the AU and uniquely organizing consultations between young people and the G8 Leader and Leaders of BRIC countries etc.
Ravi has extensive experience in facilitating strategy workshops with diverse range of audience ranging from policy makers to development workers. He has extensive experience in knowledge creation and management. He has written over 60 publications.
