The Media Studies and Journalism Department of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) believes in an educational approach that is personalized, technologically updated and centered on active learning. It upholds a curriculum that is flexible, relevant and balanced in terms of theory and practice- a curriculum that is grounded in both global and local contexts.

It aims to continuously produce graduates who are globally competitive, critical in thinking, problem solvers, excellent communicators and professional through a curriculum that is liberal arts-based and devoted to communication, journalism and media studies.  Located in Dhaka City, it was established in 2004.  It currently has 600 graduate and undergraduate students.  The graduate program focuses on communication research and leadership while the undergraduate program has study concentrations in business journalism, digital film/television production and public relations.
