I am a Communication Consultant working internationally on advocacy, media strategy, new media and presentation training. Also inception of communication/media projects for the UN and other development organisations like BBC World Service Trust and the Thompson Foundation, which has taken me most recently to Iran, Sudan, Palestine, Ethiopia and West Africa.
My background is in broadcast TV journalism working for many of the major network channels. Following a decade as a Producer/Director of documentaries, I have been a Presenter of World Business Report; Europe Correspondent for CNBC Europe, Reporter for European Business News and a Presenter/Producer for SABC(South Africa) Focus on Business programme. I also have radio and print journalism experience.I left BBCTV, following my last role as Senior Commissioning Producer for BBC World TV Features, to teach Journalism at 3 UK universities. Author of ‘Practising Videojournalism’-an academic and practical textbook for producing video content for media platforms especially online and social media. Used to working at Board, Ministerial and senior management level following two Director-level post for UK government agencies: the Central Office of Information and South East England Development Agency.I am a creative thinker and experienced Trainer and Strategist. My strengths are being inspirational, and good at international liaison and team management. Intellectually confident, energetic and a visionary, I enjoy the challenge of each new project, producing strong ideas and original solutions in the field of communications.
