Author

Hind Lara Mango

Publication Date

Summary

The Global Movement for Children (GMC) in Jordan functions as a collective voice for people and organisations to come together to create an environment that ensures the rights of every child. The Say Yes for Children campaign is the first global activity of the GMC. It has shown that great results can be achieved if forces are united.

The campaign's main purpose is to communicate the message that people of the world care about children and expect governments to keep the promises they make to them. People contributed by saying 'Yes' to 10 critical actions for improving children's lives. They include:
  1. Leave no child out
  2. Put children first
  3. Care for every child
  4. Fight HIV/AIDS
  5. Stop harming and exploiting children
  6. Listen to children
  7. Educate every child
  8. Protect children from war
  9. Protect the earth for children
  10. Fight poverty: invest in children
The book delves into the campaign's launch and its plan of action. It also details the political will raised and the signature received.
